Every homeowner has their way they'd like it built and this one was no different. That's no problem. We braced the entire roof with thru bolts and anchored it down with 3/8" tapcons. We added heavier posts and beams and used 3/8" lags in the gutter. Coming from south florida, land of a million hurricane disasters, this homeowner couldn't thank us enough.
This is a house we shuttered up in South Florida. They had wanted a shutter that was easy to operate and built to last. These accordion hurricane shutters are Miami Dade rated. They need no storage and are built with stainless steel and aluminum parts. This homeowner doesn't have to climb up on two story ladders anymore to secure her home.
This homeowner couldn't make up her mind if she wanted a screen room or a glass room. We offered to build it as a half and half. The first section of the enclosure would be glass and air conditioned so they can relax and need not to worry about the elements. The last half was to be screen so if they had guests that smoke they could use that portion as well. Check out the photos in the gallery to see how it came out!
